About Lovelyn

Hello, I'm Michelle. I began this kennel in 2006. However, I've been in love with dogs since I first saw a dog show on t.v. when I was 5. I'd always wanted to show dogs, but my mom told me maybe when I was twelve. Seven very long years went by and I finally got my first dog. His name was Jed and he was a blue roan English Cocker Spaniel. I didn't know a thing about the breed. He was very shy. Our first show was at San Mateo Kennel club that March in 2005. I managed to place with two fourth places.

In September, I stopped showing Jed who later became Rascal. Rascal hated showing and now that I was in Open Intermediate, I needed a more showy dog. I then found Chandler. He's a red solid English Cocker. However, he sadly didn't live with me so it was very hard to show him against other juniors who kept their dogs at their houses. Finally in January at the Cow Palace, I met the love of my life. A 7 month old red solid English Cocker. I named him Austin. Sandra L Laflamme had bred him, Aswell as Chandler the champion I showed.

Austin was the best dog in the world. He left this earth at 9 months old and my life hasn't been the same since.

In April 2006 I had a house fire. I lost Rascal and Austin. My world fell that day. I seriously thought of giving up on dog showing. However at Chief Solano that all changed. I met a black and tan Shiba Inu named Charlie. Marc and Sue Manning were their with their Mars Products booth. They told me I could have their pick puppy of the newest litter with no strings attached. Skeptical, I took the chance. That decision was the best one I've made.

Life gives you bumps in the road, but you have to conquer them. Though I miss Austin and Rascal, I'm lucky to have such caring people to help me along the way.
